Tivoli 2023!

2023 was another incredible year! Our flax program expanded, and we even spun our own linen yarn from the flax we grew in the garden!

Our internship program is thriving, and the 2023 interns are currently in the "winternship" preparing for small group projects in Spring 2024.

The flock continued to graze. Despite wild skies, the land was abundant.

Thank you all for another beautiful year, and we look forward to seeing you next season.

Tivoli 2022!

2022 was a year of growth. We grew the internship program, continued grazing the vegetation in the Preserve, grew lots of flowers, and made many beautiful connections. Thank you for being part of it. <3

2021 was a year of adventure. We started a new partnership with Governors Island, expanded the gardens, and started a Summer Education Program for kids. We hosted many workshops and had many adventurous days together. Thank you for growing with us!

2020 had many twists and turns, but we managed to navigate and grow. Thank you all for a beautiful year.

Our project was formally known as Tivoli Preserve Community Farm, but we merged with the existing Friends of Tivoli Lake and became known as Friends of Tivoli Lake Preserve and Farm, Inc.

Since 2017, our flock of animals and friends have been working in Tivoli Lake Preserve under the project, Tivoli Preserve Community Farm. In April 2019, we received our 501(c)(3) status and became an official non-profit. It was a dream come true! The exciting work continues, but we are now known as Friends of Tivoli Lake Preserve and Farm, Inc.

Thank you all for making 2019 incredible. Here’s a look back.

As we enter another year, we hope you’ll join us:

Caring for animals
Harvesting in the garden
Creating beautiful art
Enjoying bird songs
Exploring the trails of Tivoli
Learning more about regenerative land practices
Building community
and so much more!

Welcome to the flock. See “ewe” soon!

2018 was a wonderful year thanks to all of you (and many more not pictured)! Our flock grew and loved to graze!

We returned to our Tivoli Farmstead and tackled invasive species in the Preserve.

We started our garden with plants from friends. We made tiny hills (better known as hugelkultur beds) that gave a bountiful harvest and we shared with all. We learned about fiber, continued building soil, and our community. We even saw a double rainbow that ended at the farm!

In the fall, we returned to Normanskill and started dreaming for the future. Thank you for another beautiful year. Until soon!

All of us at Tivoli Preserve Community Farm

2017, the adventure of our first year.
